ourstory continues to unfold…

I’ve learned more in one week than I could have imagined about the love I share with my daughter. All grown up now and preparing for the next steps in her journey, I’m grateful to be part of it…through thick and thin, I know that we are moving…FORWARD. It’s the last day of our visit and my gratitude for the time we shared is more than my sadness, but the tears still come. Love this young lady. Faith Matthews.

Cherish the ones you love. Don’t just tell them. Show them. Give them the best of your listening. Give them the best of your responses. The love I feel is part of a great legacy I inherited, truly a gift from our Creator. It motivates me to live a life of nia (purpose), kujichagulia (self-determination), umija (collective work and responsibility), and ujaama (cooperative economics). My Pepper and Farmer blood created the umoja (unity) I continue to build, using my kuumba (creativity). She got her name Imani (Faith) for a reason Y’all and ourstory continues to unfold because we know that God is good, all the time.

Have an amazing day, one filled with blessings, give some, receive some. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be the light. Shine so brightly that darkness has no choice but to run. Keep moving…FORWARD…knowing that SUCCESS IS OUR ONLY OPTION.
